About Us
We are a group of psychologists who understand the wide-ranging effects of trauma. Each clinician has their own specialty, and we all share a trauma-informed approach and use evidence-based treatments that research shows are effective.
Vanessa Komarek, PsyD
Hi, my name is Dr. Komarek and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, and the founder of Meaningful Life Psychological Services. I specialize in helping people heal and recover from trauma, whether it’s from a single major life event (such as sexual assault) or ongoing interpersonal abuse (for instance, growing up in a chaotic home environment or experiencing persistent invalidation of one’s thoughts and feelings).
My style is warm and accepting, and I like to work collaboratively with each person. My goal is to help people move beyond merely reducing symptoms, and towards making their lives more meaningful and fulfilling. Simply put, I want to help you not only survive, but thrive.
