Evaluations and Psychological Testing

Mood and Personality Functioning

We currently offer psychological testing for teens and adults using standardized measures to help identify mood disorders (depression, bipolar), anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, or personality disorders and provide information about a person's strengths and weaknesses and relational functioning. The cost will depend upon the total number of hours spent performing administration, scoring/interpretation and report writing, but you will be given an estimate ahead of time based upon what you are looking for.

ADHD Testing

Do you or your child struggle with forgetfulness, restlessness, staying focused on tasks or organizing responsibilities? Do you need a formal diagnosis for medication management purposes, or to better understand yourself and the way your brain works? Our comprehensive battery of measures will provide you with a detailed overview of your cognitive and attentional abilities, differential diagnosis of common co-occurring disorders, and individualized recommendations for treatment and self-management based on your results. Appropriate for ages 6 - adult.

Psycho-Educational Evaluations (or Psychological Testing for Learning Disorders)

Is your child struggling in school? A psycho-educational evaluation can provide valuable insights into their learning style, strengths, and challenges. By identifying any underlying learning disorders, we can develop tailored strategies to help your child succeed academically and reach their full potential. Our compassionate team of experts will work with you and your child to create a personalized plan that supports their unique needs and fosters a love of learning.

What you can expect from the process:

Administration Appointment(s)

The initial administration appointment is estimated to take between 2-3 hours, and often a second administration appointment is scheduled (though exact timing depends upon each person’s specific questions and needs). You will be asked questions about your life and mental health during a conversational interview, you will be given a questionnaire asking about your experiences, and you may be asked to do additional tasks such as looking at pictures, drawing tasks, or other written tasks.

Scoring, Interpretation, and Report Writing

After the administration appointment(s), the psychologist will conduct scoring, interpretation, and report writing, and you will not need to be present for this. Your psychologist will create an individualized, comprehensive psychological report that includes test results, diagnostic information, and recommendations for treatment or other relevant resources.

Feedback Session

You will be provided with the comprehensive psychological report and the psychologist will review the information and discuss the findings with you. You will have a chance to ask any questions you may have.
